Our Team volunteered last Friday afternoon by baking cookies for the residents at the Sandra J. Schulze American Cancer Society Hope Lodge here in Rochester. Hope Lodge acts as a second home and small community for cancer patients and their caretakers who happen to live more than 40 miles away, while they are undergoing cancer treatment. It offers them their own private rooms, multiple kitchens and dining areas, free laundry rooms and outside sitting areas. Volunteering here means a lot to us since we all know someone that is battling or has battled cancer.
In order for the American Cancer Society to provide free living quarters to cancer patients and their caretakers, they heavily rely on volunteers and local organizations.
